Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled from the Chula Vista Series, 1978 by Peter Alexander was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,420.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Alexander achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (turquoise triangle), circa 1970s in September last year with an auction result of USD 55,000.00 (€ 56,219.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled from the Chula Vista Series, 1978 von Peter Alexander kam im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.420,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Alexander erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (turquoise triangle), circa 1970s im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 55.000,00 (€ 56.219,97).
