This artwork by Peter Alexander achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in February 2021. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Fish, 2005 sold for USD 27,812.50 (€ 22,998.84) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Alexander - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (turquoise triangle), circa 1970s, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 55,000.00 (€ 56,219.97).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Peter Alexander erzielte im Februar 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Fish, 2005 für USD 27.812,50 (€ 22.998,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Alexander mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (turquoise triangle), circa 1970s beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 55.000,00 (€ 56.219,97) versteigert wurde.
