Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dirona From The Catalina Series, 1984 by Peter Alexander was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,100.00 (€ 4,405.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Alexander achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (turquoise triangle), circa 1970s in September last year with an auction result of USD 55,000.00 (€ 56,219.97).

Die Arbeit Dirona From The Catalina Series, 1984 von Peter Alexander kam im September 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.100,00 (€ 4.405,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
