This artwork by Pericle Fazzini achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2006. In the The House Sale auction, the work Female nude, twisting to the left sold for USD 11,400.00 (€ 9,376.54) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pericle Fazzini; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Homme assise sold at auction in September 2002 with the realized price of USD 10,157.50 (€ 10,281.91).
