Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Pack at Full Cry by Percival Leonard Rosseau was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 68,500.00 (€ 50,918.01). Other works by Percival Leonard Rosseau have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2015 by the work Two Setters In A Cooling Stream On The Grounds Of Overhills, Fayetteville, North Carolina at USD 85,000.00 (€ 76,978.81).
