Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Helping out a friend on the road by Penry Williams was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2003. The price achieved of GBP 352.50 (€ 459.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Penry Williams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mass for the Reapers in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 16,450.00 (€ 26,075.28).
