In April 2016 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Inkprovise - Modern & Contemporary Ink Art, which included the work Yang Guifei After Bath by Peng Xiancheng. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 236,000.00 (€ 26,588.93), 48% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peng Xiancheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Play Polo, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 96,000.00 (€ 98,034.78).

Im April 2016 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Inkprovise - Modern & Contemporary Ink Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Yang Guifei After Bath von Peng Xiancheng zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 236.000,00 (€ 26.588,93) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Peng Xiancheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Play Polo beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 96.000,00 (€ 98.034,78) versteigert wurde.
