Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Polo by Peng Xiancheng was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings & Contemporary Chinese New Paintings auction at POLY in August last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 112,100.00 (€ 14,189.31) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peng Xiancheng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Play Polo in April this year with an auction result of HKD 96,000.00 (€ 98,034.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Polo von Peng Xiancheng wurde im August letzten Jahres in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings & Contemporary Chinese New Paintings bei POLY versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 112.100,00 (€ 14.189,31) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peng Xiancheng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Play Polo im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 98.034,78).
