In August last year POLY held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings & Contemporary Chinese New Paintings, which included the work Polo by Peng Xiancheng. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 165,200.00 (€ 20,910.56), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Peng Xiancheng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Play Polo in April this year with an auction result of HKD 96,000.00 (€ 98,034.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im August letzten Jahres führte POLY die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings & Contemporary Chinese New Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Polo von Peng Xiancheng zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 165.200,00 (€ 20.910,56) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peng Xiancheng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Play Polo im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 98.034,78).
