Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included this untitled work by Pedro Coronel. The »bidding war« ended at USD 348,500.00 (€ 307,780.62), 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pedro Coronel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Año 1 luna, which sold at auction in March this year for USD 693,000.00 (€ 637,417.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Pedro Coronel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 348.500,00 (€ 307.780,62) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Pedro Coronel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Año 1 luna beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für USD 693.000,00 (€ 637.417,22) versteigert wurde.
