This artwork by Pedro Coronel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2018. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Rojo de Paris (Rojos en armonía) sold for USD 150,000.00 (€ 132,473.73) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pedro Coronel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Año 1 luna in March this year with an auction result of USD 693,000.00 (€ 637,417.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pedro Coronel erzielte im November 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Art wurde die Arbeit Rojo de Paris (Rojos en armonía) für USD 150.000,00 (€ 132.473,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pedro Coronel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Año 1 luna im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 693.000,00 (€ 637.417,22).
