In November last year Bonhams in Paris held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Trois chemises 45,7 x 28,7 x 5,5cm (17 11/16 x 11 x 1 15/16in). (chacun) by Pavlos. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 17,850.00 49% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pavlos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Champ (Field) in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 90,500.00 (€ 115,374.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Trois chemises 45,7 x 28,7 x 5,5cm (17 11/16 x 11 x 1 15/16in). (chacun) von Pavlos zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 17.850,00 und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pavlos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Champ (Field) im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.500,00 (€ 115.374,71).
