This artwork by Pavlos achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in November this year. In the The Greek Sale auction, the work Bar 43.4 x 33.4 x 18.7 cm sold for EUR 10,880.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pavlos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek Champ (Field) in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 90,500.00 (€ 115,374.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 81 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pavlos erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Greek Sale wurde die Arbeit Bar 43.4 x 33.4 x 18.7 cm für EUR 10.880,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pavlos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek Champ (Field) im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.500,00 (€ 115.374,71).
