Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Jeu de cartes by Pavlos. The price achieved of EUR 31,875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pavlos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Champ (Field), which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 90,500.00 (€ 115,374.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jeu de cartes von Pavlos zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 31.875,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pavlos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Champ (Field) beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 90.500,00 (€ 115.374,71) versteigert wurde.
