This artwork by Pavlos achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in May this year. In the The Greek Sale auction, the work Bar sold for EUR 48,255.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pavlos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Champ (Field), which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 90,500.00 (€ 115,374.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 93 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pavlos erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Greek Sale wurde die Arbeit Bar für EUR 48.255,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pavlos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Champ (Field) beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 90.500,00 (€ 115.374,71) versteigert wurde.
