In May this year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Arbre by Pavlos. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 31,875.00 59% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pavlos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Champ (Field), which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 90,500.00 (€ 115,374.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 59 % übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Arbre von Pavlos zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 31.875,00 und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Pavlos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Champ (Field) beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 90.500,00 (€ 115.374,71) versteigert wurde.
