Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction European Paintings, which included the work Greek woman With Tiger by Pavlos Samios. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,133.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pavlos Samios - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek ecstasy, which sold at auction in May 2011 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,587.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek woman With Tiger von Pavlos Samios zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.133,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Pavlos Samios mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek ecstasy beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.587,58) versteigert wurde.
