Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek Figures Embracing by Pavlos Samios was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Sothebys in London in April 2008. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,171.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pavlos Samios - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek ecstasy, which sold at auction in May 2011 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,587.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Greek Figures Embracing von Pavlos Samios wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.171,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pavlos Samios mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek ecstasy beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.587,58) versteigert wurde.
