Auction result well in line with expectations
The work After The Rain by Pauline Palmer was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,262.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pauline Palmer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sketch Club, Provincetown in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 43,988.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit After The Rain von Pauline Palmer kam im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.262,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pauline Palmer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sketch Club, Provincetown im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 43.988,27).
