It achieved a price of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,057.38), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Admittedly, works by Pauline Palmer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sketch Club, Provincetown in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 43,988.27).

Die Arbeit The Gossips von Pauline Palmer wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Interiors bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.057,38) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pauline Palmer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sketch Club, Provincetown im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 43.988,27).
