Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portrait of a girl, bust-length, turned three-quarters to the left by Pauline Auzou was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2000, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,880.00 (€ 2,994.82). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pauline Auzou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Seated Boy, Supporting His Right Elbow in June 2020 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,286.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Portrait of a girl, bust-length, turned three-quarters to the left von Pauline Auzou im Dezember 2000 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.880,00 (€ 2.994,82) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pauline Auzou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Seated Boy, Supporting His Right Elbow im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 30.286,48).
