Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Primatologist by Paulina Olowska was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in September 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 20,160.00 (€ 17,413.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Paulina Olowska have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ela in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 106,352.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Primatologist von Paulina Olowska wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 20.160,00 (€ 17.413,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paulina Olowska auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ela im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 106.352,81).
