Auction result well in line with expectations
The work China by Paula Scher was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,790.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Paula Scher have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Manhattan at Night in April 2018 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,423.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit China von Paula Scher kam im Oktober 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.790,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paula Scher auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Manhattan at Night im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.423,39).
