Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Strand could be acquired at Bonhams in London in July this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs Now The Collector's Edition auction, the work The Nile, Luxor, Egypt changed hands for USD 4,480.00 (€ 4,065.34) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Strand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Akeley Motion Picture Camera, New York, 1922 in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 783,750.00 (€ 595,192.89).
