Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Villefranche-sur-Mer by Paul Signac was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 28,020.00 (€ 31,933.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Signac achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Concarneau, calme du matin (Opus no. 219, larghetto) in November last year with an auction result of USD 39,320,000.00 (€ 38,089,702.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Villefranche-sur-Mer von Paul Signac kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 28.020,00 (€ 31.933,66) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Signac erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Concarneau, calme du matin (Opus no. 219, larghetto) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 39.320.000,00 (€ 38.089.702,61).
