Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting, which included the work French Le Nouveau Decor by Paul Seignac. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,312.39) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Paul Seignac have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2003 the work Learning to count was auctioned for GBP 8,812.50 (€ 12,766.00).

Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting durch, in der auch die Arbeit French Le Nouveau Decor von Paul Seignac zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.312,39) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00.
