Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Feeding the bird some berries by Paul Seignac was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in July 2020. The price achieved of USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,248.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Seignac - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Learning to count, which sold at auction in March 2003 for GBP 8,812.50 (€ 12,766.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Feeding the bird some berries von Paul Seignac kam im Juli 2020 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.248,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Seignac mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Learning to count beobachtet, die im März 2003 für GBP 8.812,50 (€ 12.766,00) versteigert wurde.
