Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A snow-covered landscape with a church towering in the distance by Paul Rink was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2000, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of NLG 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for NLG 468.08 (€ 215.74). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Rink achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Little Cowherdess In A Meadow Near Zalk in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 38,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A snow-covered landscape with a church towering in the distance von Paul Rink im September 2000 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für NLG 468,08 (€ 215,74) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Rink erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Little Cowherdess In A Meadow Near Zalk im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 38.400,00.
