Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bathtime: An Aquatic Encounter by Paul-Marc-Joseph Chenavard was sold in the Erotic: Passion & Desire auction at Sothebys in London in February 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,803.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul-Marc-Joseph Chenavard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A) Amourous Reflections B) Ménage À Trois C) An Intimate Encounter D) An Amourous Entanglement in May 2020 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,039.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bathtime: An Aquatic Encounter von Paul-Marc-Joseph Chenavard wurde im Februar 2017 in der Auktion Erotic: Passion & Desire bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.803,71) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
