Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Playfulness by Paul Manship was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2015. The price achieved of USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,164.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Manship achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indian Hunter And His Dog in December 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,135,786.34).

Die Arbeit Playfulness von Paul Manship wurde im Mai 2015 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.164,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Manship erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Indian Hunter And His Dog im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.565.000,00 (€ 1.135.786,34).
