This artwork by Paul Manship achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2020. In the American Art Online auction, the work Playfulness sold for USD 81,250.00 (€ 73,669.42) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Manship achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indian Hunter And His Dog in December 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,135,786.34).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Manship erzielte im März 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art Online wurde die Arbeit Playfulness für USD 81.250,00 (€ 73.669,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Manship erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Indian Hunter And His Dog im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.565.000,00 (€ 1.135.786,34).
