Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Atalanta by Paul Manship. The price achieved of USD 250,000.00 (€ 227,396.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Manship have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Indian Hunter And His Dog in December 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,135,786.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Atalanta von Paul Manship zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 227.396,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Manship auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Indian Hunter And His Dog im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.565.000,00 (€ 1.135.786,34).
