This artwork by Paul Lecomte achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2002. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Vessels moored in harbour sold for GBP 399.50 (€ 637.22) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Lecomte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French A Spring Morning At The Château-Gaillard in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 33,000.00 (€ 24,158.13).
