Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Day On The Beach by Paul Lecomte was sold in the British & Continental Pictures including Greek Art auction at Sothebys in Olympia in May 2007. The price achieved of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,942.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Lecomte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French A Spring Morning At The Château-Gaillard in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 33,000.00 (€ 24,158.13).

Die Arbeit A Day On The Beach von Paul Lecomte wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion British & Continental Pictures including Greek Art bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.942,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Lecomte erzielen.
