Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition, Circa 1959 by Paul Kallos was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in December 2006. The price achieved of EUR 222.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 200.00 – 250.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Kallos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Menines, 1961 in June 2009 with an auction result of EUR 5,738.00.

Die Arbeit Composition, Circa 1959 von Paul Kallos kam im Dezember 2006 bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 222,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 200,00 – 250,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Kallos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Menines, 1961 im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.738,00.
