The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,500.00 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Gabriël achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A painter, possibly the artist W.B. Tholen, at work in a punter on a sunny day in October 2021 with an auction result of EUR 75,000.00.

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.500,00 und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Gabriël erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A painter, possibly the artist W.B.
