Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

In December 2003 Christies in Sydney held the auction THE CONTENTS OF BRONTE HOUSE, which included the work Ipomea Alba (Moonflower) by Paul Jones. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 5,287.50 (€ 3,156.47). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Jones - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flushing a mallard; and Chasing a rabbit, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,946.47).
