Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boats in the harbour by Paul Émile Lecomte was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,895.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul Émile Lecomte have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sur La Plage in January 2016 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 24,552.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boats in the harbour von Paul Émile Lecomte kam im September 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.895,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Émile Lecomte auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sur La Plage im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 24.552,25).
