In September 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Gloucester Harbor by Paul Cornoyer. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,400.00 (€ 6,620.95), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Cornoyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The New York Public Library in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 133,000.00 (€ 85,475.58).

Im September 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gloucester Harbor von Paul Cornoyer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.400,00 (€ 6.620,95) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Cornoyer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The New York Public Library im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 133.000,00 (€ 85.475,58).
