In June this year Bonhams in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Les Baigneurs (grande planche) by Paul Cézanne. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 16,640.00 (€ 19,366.10), 66% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Cézanne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Montagne Sainte-Victoire in November last year with an auction result of USD 137,790,000.00 (€ 133,478,639.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 66 % übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Les Baigneurs (grande planche) von Paul Cézanne zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 16.640,00 (€ 19.366,10) und damit 66% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Cézanne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Montagne Sainte-Victoire im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.790.000,00 (€ 133.478.639,93).
