Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2008 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Orientalist and Spanish Art, which included the work The red rose by Paul Baudry. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,762.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Baudry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le petit Saint Jean, which sold at auction in June 2012 for EUR 115,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Orientalist and Spanish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The red rose von Paul Baudry zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 31.762,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Baudry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le petit Saint Jean beobachtet, die im Juni 2012 für EUR 115.000,00 versteigert wurde.
