In July 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work An Extensive Landscape With Tobit, Tobias And The Archangel Raphael by Paul Bril. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 713,250.00 (€ 857,602.76), 43% above the upper estimate. With this result, An Extensive Landscape With Tobit, Tobias And The Archangel Raphael is even the most expensive work of art by Paul Bril that we have observed at auctions so far.
