This artwork by Paul Baudry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2005. In the 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures auction, the work An Allegory of Innocence sold for GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,192.13) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Baudry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le petit Saint Jean in June 2012 with an auction result of EUR 115,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Baudry erzielte im Dezember 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit An Allegory of Innocence für GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.192,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Baudry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le petit Saint Jean im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 115.000,00.
