In August 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish & Sporting Pictures, which included the work The 14Th Fairway, North Berwick From The Bent by Patrick William Adam. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,600.45) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Patrick William Adam have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Dinner Table, Ardilea in April 2007 with an auction result of GBP 72,000.00 (€ 105,417.28).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.600,45) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick William Adam auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Dinner Table, Ardilea im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 72.000,00 (€ 105.417,28).
