Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Breakfast Table by Patrick William Adam was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2016. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 44,246.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Patrick William Adam - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Dinner Table, Ardilea, which sold at auction in April 2007 for GBP 72,000.00 (€ 105,417.28).
