Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Patrick Hockey could be acquired at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Australian Art auction, the work Australian the Mine Shaft changed hands for AUD 2,280.00 (€ 1,330.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Patrick Hockey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian the Spivs, which sold at auction in August 2008 for AUD 6,000.00 (€ 3,502.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Patrick Hockey konnte im August 2008 bei Sothebys in Melbourne für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Australian Art wechselte die Arbeit Australian the Mine Shaft für AUD 2.280,00 (€ 1.330,95) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Patrick Hockey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian the Spivs beobachtet, die im August 2008 für AUD 6.000,00 (€ 3.502,49) versteigert wurde.
