Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Patrick Demarchelier could be acquired at Phillips in London in November 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Three Polaroids changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,819.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Patrick Demarchelier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christy Turlington, New York, 1990 in November this year with an auction result of EUR 138,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Patrick Demarchelier konnte im November 2018 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Three Polaroids für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.819,92) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Patrick Demarchelier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Christy Turlington, New York, 1990 im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 138.600,00.
