Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art / Arab & Iranian, which included the work Untitled (From The Flag Collection Series) by Parastou Forouhar. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,233.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Parastou Forouhar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Friday in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 61,000.00 (€ 42,162.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art / Arab & Iranian durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (From The Flag Collection Series) von Parastou Forouhar zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.233,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Parastou Forouhar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Friday im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 61.000,00 (€ 42.162,01).
