This artwork by Parastou Forouhar achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in April 2012. In the Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II auction, the work Friday sold for USD 23,750.00 (€ 17,952.98) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Parastou Forouhar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Friday, which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 61,000.00 (€ 42,162.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Parastou Forouhar erzielte im April 2012 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II wurde die Arbeit Friday für USD 23.750,00 (€ 17.952,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Parastou Forouhar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Friday beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für USD 61.000,00 (€ 42.162,01) versteigert wurde.
