Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Italian garden Terrace With Turkey by Paolo Sala was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,135.28). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paolo Sala achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Anichkov Bridge On Nevsky Prospekt At Dusk in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 145,250.00 (€ 160,692.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Italian garden Terrace With Turkey von Paolo Sala im Juni 2017 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.135,28) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paolo Sala erzielen.
